Coat Sorting Pics & I <3 the Midwest

The Whoa Oh Records Team helped sort over 2100 coats, some shoes, hats, gloves, scarves, the occasional knit bikini top, amongst other things last Saturday. The coats are being sent to various agencies throughout the city this week in an effort to keep as many New Yorkers as warm as possible.

Here are some dusty pictures.

In other news, for a limited time you can get the Tin Armor 7" the Sidekicks "Sam" 7" and a TSG CD for $10 postage paid.

Send $10 to whoaoh@gmail.com and tell us why you <3 the Midwest (you don't have to actually tell us why unless you want to).

Coat Drive!

In conjunction with New York Cares for their annual Coat Drive , Whoa Oh Records will be hosting a coat collection for the homeless from now through the end of December. All you have to do is get me any new or gently used coats that you’d like to donate. This can be either in person (contact me at whoaoh@gmail.com to make arrangements) or through the mail at:

Whoa Oh Records
c/o Coat Drive

I know mailing big items like coats tends to be expensive so as a reward your generosity, Whoa Oh Records will send you some freebies. All donations are tax deductable and I can get you a receipt if you need one.

If you don’t have any coats that you’d like donate but you’d still like to help the homeless, I’m arranging to get a group of people together to sort coats on either Saturday 1/10/09 or Saturday 1/17/09. This will last a few hours and it’s conveniently located at 250 Hudson Street in Manhattan.

You can also donate (between December 1 – 31) at the following locations:

Somebody Called Me On The Phone

Family is the most important thing in life. I've always considered this label and bands on it as family. So when their families get a little bigger it is cause for celebration in my life and hopefully in yours. Without further adieu I highly encourage you to click on through to Oliver Hammond Moser. Oliver is the newest addition of the Moser family and you know Jon from Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine, The AV Club and the Festipals. Congratulations guys, you've made my day!

All My Friends Are Like doublewhiskeycokenoice

Check out Generic Insight Radio tomorrow (Wednesday the 30th) at 10pm to hear a stream of the dulcet tones emanating from my vocal chords. I'll be talking about rapping spiders, vinyl colors and general hypocrisy.

Here's the link:

In other news, the Sidekicks "Sam" will be here shortly. Check the 'space to hear a song off of it.

In an effort to get you do something that you haven't done in an extended period of time, I highly suggest that you pick up the newest issue of MRR because there's an excellent interview with the Unlovables in there.
